Size: Royal Pearl is available from 2 mm to 16 mm.
Colour: pearls exist in an array of colours like pink, white, gold and black.
Roundness: Round is the highest quality, followed by semi round, oval, drop, button, semi baroque and baroque.
Lustre: Lustre is judged on a five point scale.
Surface faults: Here the spots or marks on the pearl are judged.
